THE UNIVERSITY OF TOKYO
The University of Tokyo, a public research university located in Bunkyo, Tokyo, was founded in 1877 by the Meiji government through the merging of Tokyo Kaisei School and Tokyo Medical School.

Social events include homestay with local Japanese families, shopping in Shibuya and Harajuku, eating sushi at Tsukiji fish market, and going to a traditional Japanese bath house called onsen.
