THE NATIONAL UNIVERSITY
OF SINGAPORE
The National University of Singapore (NUS) is a national research university based in Singapore. It was founded in 1905 as the Straits Settlements and Federated Malay States Government Medical School. NUS is the oldest higher education institution in Singapore. According to most rankings, it is considered to be one of the best universities in the Asia-Pacific and is among the top 40 universities in the world.
ACADEMIC
Academic sessions are led by prominent researchers and experts. Students will discuss pertinent contemporary Singaporean issues, including information security and migrantion.
CULTURAL
Activities in years past have included home stays with local Singaporean families, tours of Little India and Chinatown, trips to the Singaporean Zoo, beach trips, visits to the Sentosa Aquarium and Waterpark, and strolls along the Gardens by the Bay.
SOCIAL
Social events include shopping at Orchard Road, team building activities such as laser tag, and visiting the local flea markets.
